GUEST BOOK

Mr. Minchew and I were sorry to learn of Emily's death. We have wonderful memories of visits with her when she came to Waycross to visit her Mother. May your faith and memories bring you comfort during this time of your loss.

- Katy B. Minchew, Waycross, GA

Dear H.P.- Ann and I were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your lovely Emily. We are in Wisconsin at the moment and unfortunately cannot be there. We had no idea Emily had been so ill until Roy Mac Haggard phoned Mike yesterday afternoon to tell him of Emily's passing and Mike just called to let me know. What a sweet, sweet special Southern lady Emily was. We know you are simply devastated. Our hearts go out to you and hope in some way this email will send comfort to you over the distance. We will forever cherish your friendship and especially the kind and considerate manner in which you embraced our beloved Kimberly when she and her finace, Will Braman, had dinner with the SEGA Board of Directors at Pinehurst a few months prior to her death. Kimberly asked me several times after that evening if we had seen the two of you lately. She was so taken aback with Emily's kindness and with your wonderful hospitality to her and Will that evening. She told us she thought you all were the epitomy of what a couple should be... and indeed you were! We will never forget the two of you and I especially will remember your visitation at the funeral home the evening after Kimberly's body arrived back home from Iraq. I cannot describe to you the feeling I had when I looked up and saw you had come to pay your final respects. That meant more than you will ever know. I only wish I could do or say something that would help ease your pain at this sad time in your life. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and with Emily. She is in another place now where there is no pain or sorrow. Rejoice in that fact! I pray that God will give you the ability to always recall all the wonderful and beautiful times you and Emily had together. That cannot be taken away. What a true lady Emily was and we will never forget her or you. Please let us hear from you and know that although we cannot be there in person, the spirit of our friendship is with you. With much respect and sympathy for your loss, Dale & Ann Hampton Easley, South Carolina

Dear Mr. Weldon, It has been many years since I have seen you or Miss Emily, but the impression that the both of you left me with has been of great kindness, patience, and genuine caring of others.
