Savannah, GA – Carol P. Bocard, 68, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Hospice House. The Muncie, IN native was the daughter of the late John R. and Murial Frederickson Puterbaugh. Moving to Savannah in 1993, Carol settled at The Landings on Skidaway Island with husband Gary. An avid golfer, bowler and animal lover, she was past social director for the Land Lovers at Skidaway Island. Carol enjoyed fine jazz and the melodies of Tony Bennett. She was a devoted Catholic and member of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Savannah. Carol's proudest accomplishments were her three sons, Brent, Barry, and Timothy. She loved life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Gary P. Bocard, of Savannah; her sons, Brent Bocard and his wife, Stacey, of Terre Haute, IN, Barry Bocard and his wife, Wendy, of Lake Station, IN, and Timothy Bocard of Hammond, IN; grandchildren, Justin and Courtney Bocard of Lake Station, IN; and her sister, Lynn Parris and her husband, Dennis, of Cocoa, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, celebrated by The Reverend Monsignor William O. O’Neill.
Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Gary, we were so saddened to learn of Carol's illness and death. You know I enjoyed knowing her briefly and all your kindnesses through David and Sarah, those evenings at the club. Though I didn't know Carol well, I knew she was a great support to all you do. Our sympathy to you and your boys. You did a wonderful job making her comfortable as the Marley's updated me from time to time. Be blessed. We are praying for you. Herb and Phyllis Meyer in Athens.
