Mary “Betty” Stafford

Mary “Betty” Stafford, 74, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Betty was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Her husband, Frank Stafford, preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Gail Marie and Donald Rice of Savannah; three sons, William Frank Stafford, Randy Stafford and Jimmy Joe Stafford all of Savannah; brother-in-law, William F. Carmichael of Savannah; three grandchildren, Christopher, Christina and Mandy; two great nieces, Tonya Hawk and husband David and Kelsie Sikes; three great nephews, David “D.J.” Hawk, Jody Sikes and wife Lori and Billy Sikes.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park on Wheaton Street.
