Gregory Guilford
Savannah- Mr. Gregory Guilford of Wilmington Island, GA, formerly of Albany, GA, achieved perfect peace on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Hospice of Savannah.
Mr. Guilford was educated in the Daugherty County School System. He served in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he became a firefighter with the Albany Fire Department, moving up the ladder to Chief and retiring after 23 years of service. He continued his work at the state level and became a State Fire Marshall in Chatham County which served a nine county area.
Mr. Guilford leaves to cherish his memory a loving, caring and devoted wife, Emmarene Guilford, four children, one son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, one sister-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
The remains of Mr. Guilford will be cremated. The family has requested that donations be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc. P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
