Savannah, GA - Charles E. Warner died Tuesday August 6, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Being a native of Savannah he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Warner of Savannah.
He was a graduate of Armstrong College and the University of Georgia. He served in both the United States Navy and the Air National Guard.
After working for 26 years in Savings and Loan he practiced law for the next 20 years. He had been a member of the Christian Business Men’s Club, the Quarterback Club, and various civic organizations. He was also a member of Epworth United Methodist Church for many years before becoming a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
He was a warm and giving person and friend to everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife Louise, step daughter Carolyn Highsmith, and step son Wesley Cobb; two grandsons, Doug Highsmith and Chris Cobb; a brother Chester Warner of Los Angeles, California; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 11th, at 3:00 p.m. at 721 Washington Ave, the Parrish House of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m., next door in the Church.
