Jack L. Barrand

Jack L. Barrand, 71, died August 31, 2007 after a long illness. He was born in Kansas, son of the late Alvin and Faye Richards Barrand. Mr. Barrand lived most of his life in Savannah and was a veteran of United States Air Force. He was retired after 49 ½ years as a pipe fitter with Union Camp Corporation. He attended Southside Church of God and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 49 ½ years, Anita E. Barrand of Reidsville; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Michael Tibbs of Bloomingdale; brothers, Gene and Larry Barrand of Topeka, KS; sisters, Pat Lierz and Linda Sampson of Topeka, KS; grandsons, Nicholas Hall of Savannah; Brandon Tibbs of Bloomingdale; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Buddy and Jan Shuman of Claxton and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
