Jeffery Thomas Stanton

Jeffery Thomas Stanton (JT) died October 19, 2018, following a short illness, surrounded by his family. He was born March 5, 1952, in Macon, GA. He made his career in retail management and printing. JT had a lifelong passion for collecting many things rare and unusual. He was a certified numismatist and the author of several books about rare coin varieties. Collectors from all over the world came to him for his expertise and advice. His family would call him an enthusiast of many things- baseball, golf, photography, and wildlife. He had a deep appreciation for the military and never passed up the opportunity to thank a member of the Armed Forces for their service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Stanton and Ruby Stanton, his brother Eugene Stanton II, and his beloved Uncle, Alec Stanton.

He is survived by his wife of 38 Years, Susan, sons, Jamie (Meredith) and Jeffery (Liz), grandchildren Henry, Thomas and Katie, sister Barbara (Kirk), many dear cousins and his loyal dog Kobe.

Funeral Service will be Monday, October 22, 2018, Visitation 11:00 AM; Funeral Service 12:00 PM- Radiant Life Christian Fellowship, 5619 Skidaway Road, Savannah; Christian burial immediately following in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery. The Rev. David Stanton will officiate.

The family suggests remembrances be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas, 66675-8517.
