C. David Sterling

C. David Sterling, age 87, died Friday, September 21, 2007 at his home under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Sterling was a native of Savannah and active member of St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church where he served as vestryman, lay reader, Inner City Night coordinator and choir member. He was a veteran of World War II with the United States Coast Guard, served in the Georgia National Guard and was a member of the Chatham Artillery. David was a retired executive with Merrill Lynch after 43 years of service.
Mr. Sterling is survived by his wife, Lillian Hinely Sterling of Savannah; daughter, Ellen S. Reis; grandsons, David P. Reis and Charles J. Reis, Jr., all of West Palm Beach, FL.
Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church with burial following in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
