VENNIE L. COPPAGE

Vennie L. Coppage 80, died Sunday, September 30 at River’s Edge Retirement Residence after a short illness. Born in Twin City to the late Sylvester S. and Josie B Smith. Mrs. Coppage was a longtime resident of Savannah.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Arthur C. Coppage, her son, Derrell Coppage, her daughter, Barbara Lawson and her grandson, Scottie Lawson.

She is survived by a son, Arthur Coppage Jr., a granddaughter, Lisa Coppage, a grandson, Michael Lawson and her great grandson, Blake Coppage. Also surviving are her sisters, Vashti Williamson of Savannah, twin sister, Vera Arnold of Greenwood, South Carolina, her brother, B.V. Smith and wife Elizabeth of Savannah and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, October 1, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with burial in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
