Shirley Ann O'Quinn

Shirley Ann O’Quinn, 82, died Monday October 1, 2007 at Tara Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Shirley was a native Savannahian. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Temple where she attended Sunday School as a young lady, and later worked as a teacher and secretary for the Primary Department. She was baptized and married by Dr. John S. Wilder and was employed by the Seaboard Credit Union of Savannah for eighteen years.

Shirley was a great cook and blessed many people with her homemade fudge. She was born and married in the same house on 39th and Jefferson, and was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Edward O’Quinn, Jr. of Savannah; three children and their spouses, Cathy and Henry Cleland of Tybee Island, Frankie and Sally O’Quinn of Savannah and Teri and Keith Crosby of Green Bay, WI; six grandchildren, David, Amanda, Lindsey, Robbie, Grace and Anna; four great grandchildren, Jake, Lucy, Eli and Newborn Baby Cleland. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

Burial will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
