Savannah – George Emmett Glisson, 79, died October 13, 2007 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was born in Uvalda, Georgia and lived in Savannah for 36 years. Mr. Glisson was retired from the United States Air Force and the State of Georgia Corrections Facility.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, George P. and Dawn T. Glisson of Yulee, FL; Robert E. Glisson of Savannah; one grandson, John A. Glisson of Yulee, FL.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Burial: 2:00 p.m. in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery near Uvalda.
