Jackson Martin Rice

Jackson Martin Rice, infant son of Mervyn A. and Angela Carroll Rice died October 23, 2007 at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

Our sweet Baby Jack was a precious gift. We are so thankful for our 16 day adventure with him. We trust that God’s plan was fulfilled by our little man. He lived up to the meaning of his name Jackson: Gracious gift, Martin: Warrior, Rice: Powerful.
Our hearts will forever miss him but we are comforted by knowing Jack is with his Heavenly Father and we will be together again.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister, Sidney Kate of Savannah; maternal grandparents, Donald and Jeanne Carroll of Jacksonville, FL; paternal grandmother, Helen Rice of Savannah; aunt and uncle, Kelly and Chris Carroll of Jacksonville, FL; uncle, Robin Rice of Savannah; cousins, Cody and Chase Carroll both of Jacksonville, FL and Jessica Rice of Savannah.

Memorial Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2007 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2007 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Rice Family, P.O. Box 2684, Richmond Hill, GA 31324.

GUEST BOOK

God Bless Baby Jackson. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

- Ellen P. Brown, Titusville, FL

Dear Angela and Mervyn, Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry your little angel could only stay with you here for a short while. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched. We never know what God's plan is for each of us, but it is clear that Jackson has been called for a greater purpose. He was so blessed to have such a loving family and friends here and we were all blessed to know him. My Deepest Sympathy, Debbie Keeney
