Dorothy V. Poteet

Savannah- Mrs. Dorothy V. Poteet, 85, passed away Friday, October 26, 2007 at Hospice Savannah.

She was born in Ryal, Georgia. In 1957 Dorothy moved with her husband and daughters from Augusta, Georgia to Savannah. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from the Citizens and Southern National Bank after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and George Vaughn, her brother Ralph, her husband of 47 years, Gordon Lee Poteet and her daughter, Jeannie Harrison.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Poteet Robert F. Bradt, Jr.; granddaughter, Tammie Jerriel Bernie and several nieces. Her sweet loving nature will be remembered by the Bradt, Howard, Foote and Butler families and friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. A second visitation will be held in Augusta at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors on Monday at 1:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
