George W. Richardson

George William Richardson, 79, died October 28, 2007 at Candler Hospital. The lifelong resident of Savannah was the son of the late George and Mary Futch Richardson and the grandson of the late Ella I. Futch. Mr. Richardson was an electrician and twice retired from Kaiser Chemicals and also retired from Courtyard By Marriott as Maintenance Superintendent. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a 4th degree and member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Stamey Richardson.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen W. Richardson, Sr. and Francie Richardson of Savannah; daughter, Patrice E. Richardson of Savannah; grandchildren, Sonja Fogle and her husband, Jeremy of Rincon; Carolyn M. Richardson of Savannah; Stephen W. Richardson, Jr. and his wife, Nicole of Atlanta; Caroline H. Richardson of Savannah; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007 with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will be held at a later date.
Remembrances: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
