SAVANNAH, GA – Gad H. Sanchez, age 84, died Friday, November 2, 2007, at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.
The Trenton, Florida native was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and had lived in Savannah for the past fifty-three years. Mr. Sanchez was a member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church. He retired from the Conwood Corp. after thirty-two years of service.
Surviving are his wife, of fifty-six years, Annette Sanchez; a daughter, Debbie Rappe’ and her husband, Eddie; a son, Steve Sanchez; and two grandchildren, Abby Wolfe and Tony Wolfe, all of Savannah; a brother, Leo Sanchez of Bell, FL and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Trenton, FL with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
