I grew up with Bill's son Wayne in Verona. I have fond memories of Wayne's dad coming home from work while Wayne and I were playing basketball, pool, or some board game. Bill was obviously an excellent father and good role model for Wayne and Bruce.

Dear Janet, Wayne, Bruce, Mary Ellen and Melissa, Our hearts go out to you. You are in our thoughts. We will continue to pray for Bill and all of you during this time and the difficult road that lies ahead. After reading about Bill, it struck us that he was another of Tom Brokaw's 'The Greatest Generation.' If you've never read the book, you should. Bill was a class act. Our sincere condolences, Ron and Debbie Sawicki
