Wing G. Jung, Sr.

SAVANNAH- Wing G. Jung, Sr., age 87, died Wednesday, November 20, 2007, at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, he was a graduate of Savannah High School and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps having served in the Southeast Asia arena during World War II.
He was the former owner and operator of Jung’s Grocery Store at West Broad and President Streets and later on the corner of Georgia and Alabama Avenues. He later worked as a real estate agent and an insurance agent in the Savannah area. Mr. Jung was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Bernice Clifton Jung.
Surviving are two sons, Wing G. Jung, Jr. and Charles E. Jung, both of Savannah; a daughter, Tammy Jung of Nashville, TN; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, November 23, 2007, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Montgomery Crossroads.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
