Wayne David Peek, 59, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Wayne was born June 24, 1948 in Chamblee, Georgia to the late Lillie A. and George W. Peek. During his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps he met his wife, Susan, and the two were married in 1969. Wayne moved to Atlanta in 1981 where he lived for thirteen years before returning to Savannah in 1994. He was also an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Susan McCord Peek of Savannah; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan Renee Peek of Savannah and Melissa A. and Frank Reyna of Ft. Hood, TX; three sisters, Avis Murray of Dickenson, TX, Elaine Clapper of Hurtlesmill, NC and Christine Whitehurst of Burlington, NC; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
