Margaret "Peg" Duncan
June 27, 1937 - January 11, 2008
Margaret "Peg" Duncan, 70, died Friday, January 11, 2008 at her home in Savannah under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Duncan was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Waters. She was raised in Miami, and ultimately moved to the Savannah area. She was a longtime member of the ALA OBA. Peg had a soft spot in her heart for the physically handicapped children of the Shriners Children’s Hospital. She accompanied her husband on 28 trips to the Shrine Hospital in Tampa, FL, 8 trips to the Shrine Burn Center in Cincinnati, OH and 1 trip to the Shrine Burn Center in Galveston, TX.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jack L. Duncan; son, Michael Dean Duncan and wife Bonnie of Savannah; daughter, Dana Champion and husband William of Pooler; son, Darren Duncan and partner Charles Stephenson; grandchildren, Matthew and Tad Duncan, Brooke Hudson and Cody and Danielle Hoffman; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Hudson and Jack and James Duncan; sister, Mary Sapp of Glennville, GA and brother, Vance Waters of Erie, PA.
Visitation: 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Monday at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
