James Stanley Joyner

James Stanley Joyner, Sr., 56, passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Born in Chatham County he was the son of Ernest J. Joyner and the late Ruth Gay Joyner. He graduated from Jenkins High School and he worked as a certified electrician most of his life. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are: his father, Ernest J. Joyner of Savannah, GA; two sons: Jay Joyner, Jr. of Savannah, GA, and Keary E. Joyner of St. Louis, MO; one daughter, Celeste Wachsman of Huntsville, AL; two granddaughters: Haley and Layne Wachsman of Huntsville, AL; one Aunt, Evelyn Joyner Ball of Savannah, GA and many cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with the Reverend Marshall Ray officiating.
Burial will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Richard Joyner, Donald Joyner, Frank Joyner, George Joyner, Michael Joyner, Mike Joyner, Larry Sammons and Eric Brown.
