Margie Goodson Streeter

Savannah, Georgia - Margie Goodson Streeter, 83, died February 8, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Richmond County and lived the past forty years in Savannah. Mrs. Streeter was a telephone operator for the U.S. Army at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. She was the owner/operator of the William David Hotel at Tybee Island, Georgia where she was a member of Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Streeter, Jr.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, William B. Streeter, III, Mark G. Streeter and Nancy Luckey all of Savannah, GA; grandson, Grant Waters of Savannah, GA; sisters, Peggy Crozier, Donna Boland, Josephine Knight all of Waynesboro, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Visitation: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Deloach-Kennedy Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Georgia.
Graveside Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in McBean, Georgia, with Reverend Rick Boland, officiating.
Pallbearers will be, George H. Streeter, Jr., William H. Knight, Joseph S. Crozier, Hoyt D. Crozier, David T. Crozier, Jr., Richard A. Boland, Jr., Daniel L. Boland, Ben Knight and Tanner Knight.
