Celebrating the life of
Dr. Carla J. Galat Haddad
May 07, 1956 - February 21, 2008
Dr. Carla J. Galat Haddad
SAVANNAH - Our precious Carla followed her husband Roger home to be with Our Lord February 20, 2008. Educated at Life Chiropractic University, she continued their practice on Whitemarsh Island. Her testimony to Jesus Christ was exemplified through her home schooling, her many ministries with Islands Community Church, and her deep love for family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, David, Roger, Jesse, and Michael; her parents, Paul and Helen Galat; her brother, Paul, and his wife, Cathy; her sisters, Candace, and her husband, Serge, and Cindy, and her husband, Brian; brother-in-law, Raymond, and his wife, Jocelyn; and many loved ones.
There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Carla's life on Wednesday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
For Carla, in lieu of flowers, there will be a memorial fund for the boys in care of Islands Community Church, 905 Betz Creek Rd., Savannah, GA 31410.
And he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." II Corinthians, 12:9.
Well, boys its been a year and this is to tell you what a beautiful witness to Christ and His kingdom you four are. You are phenomenal young men and your parents are smiling in heaven to know how much you love Christ and are living in His care and keeping....I miss them too, and love you with all my heart...Cand

Whenever I saw the picture of Roger and Carla in the paper it reminded me of just how much richer our lives have been knowing the we were blessed to be friends with them. We have had much laughter with them and the boys over the last 20 years. They will be missed so much by our family. I want you boys to know that we are here for you and that we love you very much. If you need anything we are here for you. Know that Jesus loves you. Love you, Mark, Sherri, Justin and Elizabeth

Words cannot describe the earthly loss of Carla. We truly lost an angel! I remember her laughter and gentle spirit. To know Carla and Roger was to see what really being a Christian was all about. They were both firm in their belief. David, Roger, Jesse, and Michael you are in my prayers! Your parents left you with a great foundation under your feet! Continue to build on it and carry on the legacy that they started.
- Cheri Phillips Wilmoth, Greencastle, IN
No words could ever express our hearts' desire for you during this time. We will miss Carla and Roger but our prayers will be for you, the boys! May our God of hope rap His arms of comfort and protection around each of you.
- Bill and Talley Smith, Richmond Hill, GA
Carla and Roger, words are failing me but I know my heart is brimming over with love, gratitude, and also much pain for your loss. Carla helped me so much over the holiday season when my only child and I were estranged, and following her loving example, we were reunited. I couldn't wait to tell Carla, and thank her for her advice and prayers
- Tina Humbert, Savannah, GA
Dr. Carla, like her husband Roger, made you feel better simply by being in her presence. The warmth of her personality, conviction of faith and optimistic view of life added much to her skill as a healer. We feel blessed to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, co-workers, friends and patients who mourn her passing. John and Monica Rintoul

How my heart aches for David, Roger, Jesse, Michael, Carla's parents and the rest of both families and friends that love the Haddad family. There are no words to express the deep grief at such a great loss. I only know that Jesus is the only One strong enough to hold anyone through their grief and always. May He love you hard these days and may you feel the prayers of so many. Job 42:5
- Joan Kornblatt, Savannah, GA
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
