Grace Stephens Moore, 89, died March 5, 2008 at Summer Breeze on Wilmington Island. She was born in Millen, Georgia and lived in Savannah since 1938. Grace was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Wilmington Island United Methodist Church and was very active and held several offices with the United Methodist Women. She was an avid bridge player and was involved with several square dance clubs. Her husband, Herber James Moore, Jr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Meralyn and John Gilbert of Savannah; Marsha and Cliff Fisher of Thomaston, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gary C. and Sandy Moore of Cartersville, GA; nine grandchildren, Diane Sullivan and her husband, Scott of Dublin, GA; Melissa Merritt of Dublin, GA; Brian Fisher of Columbia, SC; Adam Fisher of Savannah; Jamie Philipp and her husband, Tommy of Savannah; Amanda Pritchard and her husband, Sean of Savannah; Christopher Gilbert of Savannah; Derek Moore of Cartersville, GA; Meredith Moore of Cartersville, GA; and six great grandchildren.
Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with the Reverend John A. Mitchell officiating.
Burial: Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
