Glenda: 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 says:Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Although I know you will miss your husband, know that he is at peace in heaven with God and that you will see him again one day. The first vivid memory I have of Bay is when I was about 6-7 yrs old.Close to 50 Yrs ago. MommaHelen, DaddyMac, Bay, Margaret, & I all went down to Jacksonville, Fla to look at a conveinence store. I found out later in life that it was on the recommendation of Rip Nessola who was stationed there in the Navy. He suggested that the 'Woo boy's' should go there to look at this small store being built in Jacksonville. Those were the original 7-11 Conveincence Stores. We drove all the way to Jacksonville, which was a big trip to me.This was way before I-95 was even thought about. Hiway 17 all the way. This is where they were originally built. They, 'The Woo Boys', must have liked what they saw, because sure enough, They came back to Savannah & the 7-11 Minit Stores became a reality. I remember also we had to stop at a place in Brunswick so momma, daddy & Bay could eat at a place they said had the best 'Brunswick Stew' on the planet. It was on Hiway 17 somewhere in Brunswick. I'll never forget that memory of going all that way, just for them to look at a 30x60' store. Little did I know, huh? To top it off,I also learned later on in life that they borrowed the money from the ' Bordon Milk Co' to build that 1st 'Minit' store on the corner of White Bluff & Montgomery X-rds.Also in order to borrow the money, they had sign a contract only to sell Borden milk products in the store. The rest is history. Also that's how Rip Nessola got to open a store on Skidaway Rd without being one of 'The Woo Boys'.
