Tony Craig Petrea, Jr., 28, died April 6, 2008 at Henry County Medical Center in Stockbridge, Georgia. He was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah and Tybee Island. Tony was a 1998 graduate of Benedictine Military Academy and received a B.A. degree and a Master's degree from Georgia Southern University and was currently employed by American Family Life Assurance Company AFLAC. He was a member of Montgomery Presbyterian Church. Tony was a former Boy Scout and loved baseball, having attended the first World Series ever played in Atlanta in 1991. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lewis J.L. and Thelma R. Petrea, maternal grandmother, Eula Otto Bryant, maternal great grandmother, Cora Mom Richardson and cousin, Stacey Bryant.
Surviving are his father and mother, Tony C. Petrea, Sr. and Nancy Bryant Petrea of Tybee Island; brother, Mason Bryant Petrea of Tybee Island; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Bryant of Eden, GA: girlfriend, Jean Nadeau of McDonough, GA; uncles and aunts, Dr. J.L. Barbara Petrea, Jr. of Claxton, GA; Jimmy A. June Petrea of Dallas, GA; Ricky D. Mary Frances Petrea of Savannah; Sonny M. Jeannette Petrea of Savannah; Todd R. Kelly Petrea of Goose Creek, SC; Woody P. Petrea of Philippines; Shirley Petrea Ray Varney of Savannah; Holly C. Petrea of Savannah; Aimee Petrea of Savannah; Jan Dennis Haygood of Nevills; Mathew Barbara Bryant of Rincon; Annette Joe Collins of Savannah; Pam Bryant Murray of Eden; Dale Brown of Richmond Hill; Jerry Mason of Atlanta and numerous cousins.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with The Reverend Andy Lamon officiating.
