Savannah, Georgia - Carolyn Bowden Mueller, 87, died April 8, 2008 at Summer Breeze on Wilmington Island. She was born in Union City, Tennessee, daughter of the late Jefferson and Rose Bryson Bowden. After completing high school, she graduated from secretarial school and worked in civil service with the United States Air Force Europe USAFE as executive secretary, retiring with over 50 years of service. She was a world traveler and Bronze Life Master Bridge Player and currently working on her Silver Life Master.

Surviving are her brother, Hugh Bowden of Newton, AL; sister, Helen Rose Merryman of Ponch City, OK; niece and caregiver, Carol B. Jaynes of Savannah and other nieces and nephews.

Her ashes will be buried at a later date in Union City, Tennessee.
