Gloria Ana Martin, 88, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in Savannah.

Mrs. Martin was born in Cuba on May 25, 1919, the daughter of the late Ralph and Gloria de Zaldo. Gloria was raised in France and ultimately came to the United States through New York. She used her knowledge in the languages of Spanish and French as an interpreter throughout her life. She was a volunteer with the Pink Lady Auxiliary for 25 years at St. Josephs Hospital and was a longtime member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church where she was active in the Fellowship Class.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jean Alfred Martin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nadia and Richard Leonard of Gull Breeze, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Nolan and Kathleen Martin of Metter; grandchildren, Jessica Jones, Stephanie Owens, Ashley Sears and Wesley and Miles Martin; great grandchildren, Kahla and Trista Jones, Jacob Rodgers, Aiden Owens and Robert Sears, Jr.

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church with burial following at Bryan Neck Cemetery in Keller, GA.

Remembrances: The Wesley Gardens Fund at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church, 429 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
