Thomas C. Crumbley
July 12, 1931 - April 20, 2008
Savannah-Thomas Carlton Crumbley died April 20, 2008 at Candler Hospital.
He was born in Savannah on July 12, 1931 to the late J.C. and Maude Mallard Crumbley. Mr. Crumbley was educated in the Savannah public schools and graduated from the Georgia Military Academy. He is an alumnus of Georgia Tech, where he earned a degree in Engineering and also the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy, where he earned a B.S. in Pharmacy. He was a registered Pharmacist and served as Vice President of Crumbley's Pharmacies, Inc. He practiced Pharmacy for many years in Savannah.
Mr. Crumbley saw active duty during the Korean War as a member of 117th Air Com. Squadron National Guard. He was a licensed pilot and loved flying. He is also a former member of the Savannah Jaycees, Savannah Yacht Club, and Past President of the Savannah Pharmacy Association.
He is preceded in death by his brother, J.C. Crumbley, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Smith Crumbley; a son, Thomas C. Tiana Crumbley, Jr. USMC; a daughter, Dr. Jennifer Stan Crumbley-Dodson; Grandchildren: Lucy, Jayla, RyLeigh and Olivia Crumbley and John S. Dodson; a sister, Elizabeth C. Charles Waldrop; a brother-in-law, Victor W. Barbara Smith, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with Monsignor Francis J. Nelson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 11500 Middle ground Rd., Savannah, GA 31419.
