Celebrating the life of
Jack L. Kiley, Jr.
February 23, 1952 - May 03, 2008
Jack Leon Kiley, Jr. entered this world on February 23, 1952 in Chatham County, GA to Barbara S. Kiley and Jack Leon Kiley, Sr. He departed on Saturday, May 3, 2008 having been a lifetime resident of Savannah, GA. He is survived by his wife, Christine Taylor Kiley; three children, Emily P. Kiley, Taylor L. Kiley, and Jackson C. Kiley; his father, Jack L. Kiley, Sr.; his sister, Stephanie Kiley and numerous other relatives.
Jack attended Sacred Heart and St. James Catholic Schools, Wilder Junior High School, H.V. Jenkins High School graduating in 1970 and Armstrong College.
Jack enjoyed family, football, fishing and friends. He could always be seen with a smile on his face. He was passionate about sports having played Pop Warner Football, Little League Baseball, and High School Football. He never missed a University of Georgia football game and always believed that the next season was going to be the championship one. Jack assisted in coaching sports teams for each of his three children and was very proud of all his children's athletic accomplishments.
Jack loved surfing and all things connected to the water. He could be seen late on many an afternoon staying just a little longer to catch the "big one".
Jack worked for more than thirty-three years at the Georgia Ports Authority. He was a container crane operator. He loved to share a good story with his many riverfront friends.
Jack enjoyed good times spent with family and friends over a good meal. He enjoyed Sunday family dinners at his mom and dad's, family oyster roasts and crab boils, preparing steaks for the weekly Saturday night Kiley special steak, baked potato, and salad, and just grilling and chilling.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

I AM SO VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, JACK WAS ONE OF THE NICEST PEOPLE I KNOW AND HE WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY US ALL. WE WENT TO SCHOOL TOGETHER AND OTHER THAN THE LAST REUNION, I HADN'T SEEN JACK IN YEARS ALTHOUGH OUR LAST DISCUSSION WAS OVER THE FACT THAT HE REMEMBERED MEETING MY HUSBAND, BOBBY, WHO CAME TO THE PORT TO REPAIR THE CRANES. JACK WAS SO YOUNG WHEN YOU THINK OF YEARS IN GENERAL, BUT THE ONLY WAY I CAN SUM IT UP IS THAT HE HAD ACCOMPLISHED ON EARTH WHAT GOD HAD MEANT HIM TO DO AND WAS NEEDED IN HEAVEN FOR WHATEVER REASONS. HE WAS A GOOD MAN ANDI HAVE NO DOUBT THAT HE IS IN GOD'S HANDS NOW. I PRAY FOR THE PEACE AND COMFORT TO GET YOU THROUGH THESE HARD TIMES. OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
