Chris Smith

Chris was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend that will be missed by many.
Chris, 34, was called home to rest on December 7th, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his family.
Chris was born on July 5th, 1985 in Richmond, VA to James Rodney Smith and the late Marsha Lee Douberly.
Chris worked many years for Diass Service Center and became family to Bubba and Traci. He loved spending time with friends and family. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved cooking and working or helping anyone that needed a hand. Anyone that had a chance to meet him was very unlikely to forget the everlasting touch he would leave on their life.
Chris was proceeded in death by his great-grandfather, W.T. Watkin, his beloved mother, Marsha L. Douberly and other loved ones.
Chris will be missed by his father, James Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian and Kimberly Edwards, Clinton and Connie Edwards and Anthony and Desiree Smith (Desiree); sister and brother-in-law, Tammi and Mark Silcox; nieces, Sierra, Jayden, Calei, Trinidy, Elizabeth, Meyah and Aleya; and nephews, Colin, Jobbie, Justin, and Bryson. Chris leaves behind his life long friends, Ernie and Nikki Payne; and many other friends and family that will miss him dearly.
