MARJORIE SALAMANKAS

Marjorie Salamankas 93, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Mrs. Salamankas was born and raised in New York, New York and was a longtime resident of Savannah. She was a communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Mrs. Salamankas was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Joseph Salamankas.

Surviving are; her daughter, MaryAnn Rounds and husband Robert of Virginia, her son, John Salamankas and wife Rebecca of Rincon, her son, Peter Salamankas of Savannah, her brother, Emil Valdes of New York, her grandchildren, Jaime Thompson of North Carolina, Carly Rounds of Washington D.C., Patrick J. Salamankas of Rincon and her two great grandchildren, Ryan and Kevin Thompson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
