Kwan Woo

Kwan Woo, died May 23, 2008 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Kwan Woo was born on Jan 16th 1912 in China. She married Willie Woo in 1930 and together they owned and operated the original Mai Wei restaurant on Skidaway Road in Savannah. Willie passed away in 1995. They have two grown children, Bak Hon Woo of Canada and Dip Ying Woo of Hong Kong. They have five grandchildren; Peter Woo, Teresa Woo-Paw, Magdalene Woo, Lucy Woo-Leong, and K.T. Ng. They also have nine great-grandchildren; Kevin Woo, Shauna Woo, Jadine Paw, Jason Paw, Cordelia Paw, Devin Leong, Steven Leong, Jordan Leong, and C.C. Ng. Relatives in Savannah include nephew Bill Woo and his wife Rose, great-nephew Jimmy Woo and his wife and child, Destiny and MaKenzie.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008, in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
