Jean Clarkson Berry
March 14, 1929 - June 30, 2008
Jean Clarkson Berry passed away June 30, 2008 at her home at the Landings. She was born March 14, 1929 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She attended Randolph-Macon College in Virginia before transferring to the University of Kansas where she received a degree in Journalism. She then began her career as a reporter for the Kansas City Star where she met Albert H. Berry, Jr. of Savannah. They married and moved to Savannah where she raised her family and attended St. John's Episcopal Church. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and proud great-grandmother. Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her son, Albert H. Berry, III.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Clarkson Berry and wife, Caroline; daughter-in-law, Nancy S. Bayless; grandchildren, Ronald C. Berry, Jr., Heward W. Berry, Albert H. Berry, IV, Ashley B. Harward and Thomas Clarkson Berry, and great granddaughter, Wynn Delegal Harward.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwich Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008.
