RICHMOND HILL – Charlton B. Neville, age 81, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at his home, surrounded by his family. The Bulloch County native lived for most of his life in Savannah before moving to Richmond Hill in 1998.
A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Richmond Hill and a former member of Thunderbolt Lodge, F&AM, the York Rite Bodies and the Alee Shrine.
Mr. Neville operated a commercial fishing and shrimping business in Georgia and Florida for many years.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Merry Smith, and his parents, Charlie Lee and Edna Lewis Neville.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-four years, Lucy M. Neville of Richmond Hill; three children, Jo Ann Windeler, Janet Roberts and her husband, Butch, and Richard Neville, all of Savannah; and four grandchildren, Jason Roberts, Brad Roberts, Holly Jivin, and Joshua Neville.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
