MAX WAYNE STEWART
Max Wayne Stewart 75, devoted husband, father and grandfather died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Stewart was a native of Charleston, Illinois and resident of Savannah for the past 28 years. Mr. Stewart was a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Army having served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his son Edward Stewart.
Surviving are, his wife Sonoko "Sunny" Stewart of Savannah, his sons, Major Stewart Brenda of St. Louis, Missouri and Clay Stewart Leigh of Amarillo, Texas; his daughter, Suki Sommervold David of Guyton, his daughter-in-law, Donna Stewart of Savannah, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Full Military Honors.
