BAKER, FL – Kathleen O'Connor Ansley, of Baker, FL, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008.
Kathleen, born July 10, 1946, in New Jersey, was the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth O'Connor. A former resident of Savannah, she was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Georgia Southern University. She taught school at St. James Parochial School, Savannah Country Day School and Richmond Hill High School.
A loving wife, devoted mother, daughter-in-law, and sister-in-law, Kathleen is survived by her husband and soul mate, Gregory W. Ansley of Baker, FL; a daughter, Lizbeth Eileen Ansley and her husband, Andrew W. Burnes, of Atlanta; a son, Justin Gregory Ansley of Tampa, FL; a grandson, Eli Gregory Burnes; her mother-in-law and father-law Frank T. and Carolyn Ansley; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Timothy F. and Gail Ansley, Colette and Gary Sego, Stephen and Mindi Ansley, Michelle Ansley, Renee and Bill Hunter, and Jeffery and Kathleen Ansley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth O'Connor and her beloved brother-in-law, Kevin Ansley.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The family suggests that remembrances may be made to the Ruth Byck Adult Day Care Center, c/o Senior Citizens, Inc., 3025 Bull St., Savannah, GA 31405.
Justin and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember in high school I accidently mixed up my shoes with your mom's. I'm sure she wondered why her foot had shrank so much since they were much bigger than her own. I just wanted to share that memory with you all. Memories are what make our souls go on forever.
