Nancy Perry Burr

Savannah-Nancy Perry Burr, of the Landings on Skidaway Island in Savannah, GA died October 17, 2008, after battling lung cancer for over a year. Nancy was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Marian Perry.

Nancy graduated from Miami University where she met her husband of 50 years, Dave, and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Nancy and Dave were married in 1957 and they lived in Lorraine, OH, Toledo, OH, Milwaukee, WI, Beaverton, OR and Kennett Square, PA, before retiring to Skidaway Island in Savannah, GA in 2001.

Nancy regularly volunteered at The Encore and Meals on Wheels in Kennett Square, PA. She also enjoyed helping at the Humane Society of Chatham County. Her passions included gardening, playing golf, bowling, mah jongg, travel, painting and drawing.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Dave; daughters, Leslie Medinger of Savannah, Laurie Cameron of Dunwoody, GA and Janet Smith of Erie, CO; five grandchildren, Lauren Medinger, Chandler and Lindsay Cameron, Haley and Wyatt Smith and Cleo, her rescue mutt.

The family is holding a private service.
