KAREN HAMM HELMLY
Karen Hamm Helmly 54, died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at her residence in Bluffton, South Carolina. Karen was a native of Savannah and a longtime resident of Bluffton. She was a member of the Wilmington Island United Methodist Church, the Zonta International, ASCPA and the Rotary Club. Karen was a beloved mother, aunt, daughter and a friend to everyone she met. Always the life of the party, Karen always knew what to do. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are, her husband, Thomas Callaway Helmly III, her son, Thomas Callaway Helmly IV, her mother, Eva V. Hamm, her sister, Deborah Hamm, her aunt, Charlotte Hamm, her uncle, William F. Hamm and her aunt Jonnie Chaplin.
Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 12 noon in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Reverend John Mitchell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Low Country.
