Harold E. Wimer
SAVANNAH - Harold E. Wimer, age 70, died Sunday, Nov. 9, at his home in Savannah. He had been battling lung cancer over the past several months.
Born July 17, 1938, he was the son of Mary Dills Wimer, who currently resides in Savannah and the late Joseph W. Wimer. He was a native of West Virginia but his business career took him to New Jersey, Missouri, Delaware, Illinois, and Nebraska.
He was retired from his multiple business ventures, including Nebraska Harvestore, Inc.
He was an avid golfer and most recently a member of the Savannah Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bonnie Belt Wimer, of Savannah.; mother, Mary D. Wimer of Savannah; brother, Ralph D. Wimer Marcia, of Georgetown, TX and their children, Michael D. Wimer and Melanie L. Ellsworth; daughters, Pamela S. Logue Jerry of Morgantown, WV, and Kathy A. Nelson Danny of Savannah and their child, Cooper; son, John B. Wimer Rebecca of Pittsburgh, PA and their children, Joseph, Anna, Daniel, and Michael.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 14 at 2 PM at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah with the Reverend Frank Parr officiating.
