Robert  C. Rainwater

Robert Clifton Rainwater, 61, died November 21, 2008 at Memorial University Medical Center. He was born in Lake City, Arkansas, son of the late Thurman C. and Floucy Cambron Rainwater. Mr. Rainwater was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Rainwater moved to Savannah in 1998 and was retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was a member of Unity Church of Savannah, lifetime member of V.F.W. Post No. 4392, Tybee Island, GA and lifetime member of American Legion Post No. 0892, Allegany, NY.

Surviving are his wife of sixteen years, Ellen Rainwater of Savannah; children, Joseph Rainwater and his wife, Carol of Griffin, GA; Maria Keithley of Miller, MO; Robert C. Rainwater, Jr. and his wife, Jamie of Everton, MO; two sisters, Judy Atkinson of Ocala, FL; Euline Sanford of Fayette, AL; two brothers, Larry Rainwater of Anderson, IN: John First of Cleveland, TN; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Unity Church of Savannah.

Burial will be private.
