BERNICE "BEE" ALICE CLIMIE LANGE
Bee Lange, wife, mother, grandmother, volunteer and golfer died November 24, 2008. Bee was born October 15, 1914 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the wife of the late Dr. Stephen John Lange Sr., both originally from Michigan, a military assignment brought them to Savannah in 1943, they fell in love with the city and it became their permanent home. Bee was a member of numerous organizations. She was an avid golfer for over 50 years and a member of the Savannah Golf Club for over 60 years. She was a member of the Savannah Golf Club Women's Association and the Georgia Women's Golf Association. Bee was a sports lover, especially the Atlanta Braves. Bee was a skilled piano player, she played by ear "if you could hum it, she could play it." She was a former member of the Crabbetts and volunteered playing the piano at Azalealand Nursing Home for over 15 years. She was very proud of playing in a jam session with Johnny Miller at a cocktail party many years ago. Bee was a 60 year member of the First Presbyterian Church and a honorary life member of the Presbyterian Women. She daily worked crossword puzzles in ink and was an avid user of the computer sending emails to her friends.
Bee's greatest love were her husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Bee is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Stephen John Lange Jr. and Cathy. Also surviving are her three grandsons Stephen John Lange III and wife Margaret, John David Lange, Scott Eric Lange and wife Jessica and three great grandchildren, Stephen John Lange IV, Margaret Scarlett Lange and Scott Eric Lange Jr.
Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. Stephen C. Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Bee's memory to the First Presbyterian Church, 520 Washington Ave. Savannah, Georgia 31405 or your favorite charity.

A lovely lady, a good golfer and competitor. She loved life and lived it well. Thoughts and prayers are with 'Bee' and all the family.
