Craig  Striplin LesterDecember 13, 1937 - December 05, 2008

Craig Striplin Lester, 70 died Friday December 5, 2008 at Memorial University Medical Center. She was born in Gadsden, Alabama and lived in Savannah for the past 23 years. She was retired from SunTrust Bank and was a member of Christ Church Episcopal where she worked in the Literacy program.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Stanley Lester, of Savannah, her son and daughter-in-law, Richard T. and Jongsil Byrd, of Puyallup, WA, her daughter, Elizabeth Craig Byrd, of Shalimar, FL, her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Howard Striplin and wife Trudy, of Huntsville, AL, three grandchildren, Tyler Zern, and Angela and Jessica Byrd.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 8, 2008 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church with the Rev. Scotty Brock officiating.
In lieu of flowers please send donations in Craig's name to the Historic Savannah Foundation, 321 E. York Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
