Lucy Durrence Smith

Lucy Durrence Smith, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Charlotte, NC. She was born June 20, 1940 in Tattnall County, GA to the late Thurman and Lucille Durrence. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and lived in Savannah for over 60 years before moving to Charlotte 2 years ago. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald C. Smith of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Kim Kass (Paul) of Mint Hill, NC and Kiz Adams of Athens, GA, one sister, Sherri Jenkins of Glennville, GA, and one brother, Don Durrence of Glennville, GA, and also 7 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

A Private family graveside will be held in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Research Association.
