Wilma W. Siebert
September 15, 1916 - December 15, 2008
Wilma Wellbrock Siebert, 92 passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Candler Hospital. She was born September 15, 1916 to Frieda Luhrs and John Frederick Wellbrock. She graduated from Savannah High School, and worked for a while at John D. Carswell Insurance Company.
After marriage to T. Charles Siebert they lived in Savannah, Fernandina Beach, Ocala and Gainesville. They retired to Savannah in the early 1970's, and have been faithful worshippers and workers at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church since that time. Wilma was active in the Women of the ELCA, and spent many hours with Charlie volunteering in the church office. She loved her extended family, and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 61 years, T. Charles Siebert, a niece, Katherine Wellbrock Tillman Joseph, two grand-nieces, Lisa Tillman, of Decatur and Julia Tillman Breton, of Washington, D.C. In addition, she is survived by a brother-in-law, Hershel Siebert Margaret, a sister-in-law, Laura Siebert, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Frederick C. Siebert, Paul Siebert, Jeannie Siebert Lanier, Hercshel Siebert, Jr., Laura Siebert Johnson, and Carolyn Siebert Clarke.
Graveside services will be 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park with the Rev. Peter J. Hartman officiating.
The family will receive friends at a reception following the service at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 W. 31st. Street.
