I am just now learning of Bob's passing. I did not know he was still in Savannah. I would have gone to see him. At one time (many years ago), I thought we would be spending our lives together but it was not meant to be. I loved him and the family and will always have a spot in my heart for him. So very sorry to the family, especially Patsy!

I’m so sorry for the loss of Mr. Tye. My daddy became his friend about 4 years ago while they both were at John Wesley Villas. Both Veterans, they shared a love-hate relationship. He always was so kind to us and just loved on my two children. He certainly will be missed.

Bob was a very dear friend and mentor to me . He was my room mate at the university of Georgia . Although location in later years separated us I remembered him often and the great experiences we shared both in scouting an at UGA. He will greatly ,missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know him.
