Jayne Edwards Berv
Savannah, GA- Jayne Edwards Berv died on Christmas day 2008 after a very brief illness.
She was born in Chatham VA, and was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Nancy Edwards of Virginia.
Jayne spent many years as a beloved high school teacher in Columbus GA. She was a most gracious lady with an incredible generosity of spirit. With a charitable heart, she devoted her days to making life brighter for anyone who might have been lonely or hurting. Jayne was a loving mother and grandmother, who touched the hearts of all those that knew her. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Elliott Berv of Savannah, her brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Betty Edwards of Greenville, SC, her daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and Dan Parker of Ellijay, GA, her sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Tina Ragland of LaGrange, GA and David and Lynn Ragland of Midland, GA, her stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Stephanie Berv of Richmond, VA, her stepson and daughter-in-law Jason and Sumaya Berv of Nederland, CO, and stepson and daughter-in-law Peter and Priya Berv, of Nederland, CO. Jayne had twelve adored grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 31st at 1:00 PM at Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Columbus, GA with Reverend Edwin Cooper officiating and on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church with Reverend John Wall officiating.
