D. Dean Bruner

D. Dean Bruner, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the age of 70 while deer hunting, which he loved.

Mr. Bruner was the son of the late Grover and Ora Lee Brown Bruner of Excelsior, GA.

Mr. Bruner was known throughout the area as a boat motor mechanic and avid hunter. He was a charter member of the West Chatham Baptist Church in Pooler, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Hubert Bruner and step-daughter, Erin Carothers.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; children, Steve Marty Bruner, Kathy Curt Kral of Coeur d'Alene, ID and David Becky Bruner of Virginia Beach, VA; step-children, Sherri Angel of Savannah and Angela Farmer of Shelbina, MO. He is also survived by three brothers, William Bruner of Savannah, Herbert Bruner of Springfield, GA and Clyde Bruner of Excelsior, GA; two sisters, Imogene Rushing of Register, GA and Mildred Bragg of Metter, GA; eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the West Chatham Baptist Church, Pooler, GA.

Memorial donations may be made to the Georgia Hunting and Fishing Federation, P.O. Box 154, Hoboken, GA 31542; 912458-2028.

As a child, I remember seeing Uncle Dean and the children at my grandparents house around Christmas holidays and wishing we could see them more often. He always seemed such a fun, happy natured uncle to me. I'm glad the last few years, he and Vicki lived nearer to us. It's a blessing to know his Vicki is still here and is a faithful Christian servant to their church and that there are still three delightful, wholesome good adults here who called him Dad. We are praying for you all...
