Charles Franklin McMillan Jr.
Savannah- Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Charles Franklin McMillan Jr. Frank, 80, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Candler Hospital.
Mr. McMillan lived a wonderful, blessed life. He was born November 5, 1928 to deceased Charles F. McMillan Sr. and Marion Green McMillan. He graduated college in New York City where he studied his passion of photography. Mr. McMillan served in the Navy reserve for over thirteen 13 years. He later retired from Union Camp in Savannah. Mr. McMillan will be remembered as a four father to all wedding photographers in the Southeast Region. He was diverse with all of his photography and photo finishing experience. He inspired many with his talents. Mr. McMillan is also remembered through his service to God as a deacon and trustee at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Talahi Island, as well as his service to the community as a form Exchange Club member and Hand Radio Operator WB4HSL.
Mr. McMillan is survived by his wife Doris ImaJean McMillan of Savannah, daughter Linda Stephen Ed of Wint Chester, Ohio, son Charles F. McMillan III of Savannah, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grand children.
Visitation will be from 6-8 on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12 at 12 noon at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Talahi Island with Pastor Bobby Awtrey officiating the service. Interment will be at Bonaventure Cemetery.
