Lucy E. Carano, 91, died Friday, January 09, 2009 in Savannah.

Miss Carano was born in Savannah on December 18, 1917, the daughter of the late Alfonso and Carmela Romano Carano. She attended the Chatham County Public Schools. Lucy worked in the supermarket industry for many years including the Bargain Corner and Donaldson's Super Markets. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and an active member of the Savannah Italian-American Club.

Miss Carano is survived by her sisters, Yolanda Kessler and Gloria DiNatale and husband Joe; brother, Tony Carano and wife Carolyn.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial following at the Catholic Cemetery.
