Dr. Leonard Barber "Doc" Plunk, a resident of Athens, Alabama, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at Candler Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Star and Arthur Weed of Savannah; two sons, John Plunk of Athens, AL and Joe Plunk of Durango, CO; four granddaughters, Courtney Weed of Athens, GA, Maury Weed of Savannah, Katie Tosh of Birmingham, AL and Jenny Hodges of Athens, AL; and four great grandchildren, Josh, Sims, Lily Beth and Jake.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with the Reverend Gavin G. Dunbar officiating.
I was very sorry to hear about your Dad. I had many good times with both your Dad and Mom while we all lived together in Athens. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family during this time.
